Syringe attack foiled, suspect held

Hyderabad, Sep 13: A suspected psychopath allegedly tried to attack a girl child with syringe at Film Nagar in Hyderabad today. The alert locals foiled the syringe attack and nabbed the suspect. The locals roughed up the suspect and alerted the police. It may be noted that several persons were attacked with syringes in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. A majority of the syringe attacks were reported in East and West Godavari districts. In Telangana, syringe attacks were reported in Nalgonda and Hyderabad. AP police installed CCTVs, announced cash reward and set up check posts and launched door-to-door search in East and West Godavari district to nab the accused. Police immediately reached the spot and took the suspect in to custody. According to reports, police are questioning the suspect at an undisclosed location. Further details are awaited.
