Mild tremors felt in Srikakulam

Srikakulam, August 26: Mild tremors occurred at several places in Srikakulam district in the early hours today. People panicked and ran out of their houses. Locals said tremors were felt mainly in Baruva, Mamidipalli, Erramukkam, Uppala, Tallabhadra, Kanchi and other areas in Sompet mandal. People felt the tremors at about 7.20 am. They heard a big sound before the tremors and then they ran out of their houses. The tremors were felt from 2 to 10 seconds, according to locals.
