Mumbai, August 21: Social activist Anna Hazare filed a police complaint after receiving two threatening letters, the latest one being received yesterday. Based on this, the Maharashtra government agreed to provide 'Z+' category security to Hazare. Hazare's aide Datta Awari said the letter bears the name of one Mahadeo Panchal from Latur district was posted from Osmanabad. On August 7, Anna received the first letter warning him to dissociate himself from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Otherwise, he would be 'bumped off'. Anna was warned that he would meet the same fate as meted out by nationalist Narendra Dabholkar, who was killed in Pune two years ago.
