Hyderabad, Aug 17: The Supreme Court will start final hearing on a petition seeking review of the final verdict of Brajesh Kumar Tribunal on Krishna water sharing from August 26.
AP and TS are at loggerheads over many issues but they are fighting the case unitedly to secure their due share of river water from upper riparian states Karnataka and Maharashtra.
The SC will conduct the final hearing in the case on August 26, 28 and on September 14 and 15. AP may argue on Aug 26 and Telangana on August 28. AP has approached the Supreme Court challenging the tribunal award and later, the Telangana government also impleaded in the case.
Both the Telugu states are seeking review of the tribunal verdict on sharing of the river water among AP, Karnataka and Maharashtra. The verdict was kept in abeyance by the court. The tribunal suggested for a controlling board for entire Krishna river which can review and stop projects taken up by the states.
