An IAS officer from every home in UP village
Jaunpur (Uttar Pradesh), Aug 07: Madho Patti village of Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh has an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer in every home. All the 75 households in the village has produced at least one IAS officer each. The trend started in 1952 when Indu Prakash from the village bagged second rank in civils exam. The village also has a unique record of four siblings who were selected as IAS officers. Apart from IAS officers, the village has many Union and State government officials. The locals said that all the students in the village seriously prepare for civils exams.
