T-staff get setback from AP govt

Hyderabad, August 7: Telangana-origin employees, allotted to Andhra Pradesh State received a setback from the AP government. It is already known that as per Kamalanathan committee recommendations, state-level employees have been assigned to AP and Telangana states on temporary basis. Many of them have already joined duties in the states allotted to them. While some haven't joined due to different reasons. A few employees, who were allotted to AP, wrote a letter to the Kamalanathan committee stating that they will continue in Telananga only. The retirement age in Telangana is 58 years whereas this was increased to 60 years in AP. With this, several employees, immediately after retirement in Telangana, queued up in AP to join duties there. The AP government after a thorough thinking rejected their request. Principal Secretary of AP Finance PV Ramesh clarified that the employees, who report to AP government while still continuing in service in Telangana, only would be accepted. The 60 year age limit is not applicable to Telangana employees who were allotted to AP.
