14-day remand to Amit, double murder accused
Hyderabad, July 30: Amit Singh, the spurned lover who brutally murdered two sisters, was sent to 14-day remand. It was revealed during police interrogation that he killed Srilekha for rejecting his love and also her sister Yamini Saraswati who tried to stop him. He was on the run since then and the police caught him near Medchal on Tuesday. During police interrogation, Amit said that he couldn't tolerate Srilekha rejecting his love and he felt bad as she stopped talking with him. His trials to cajole her failed. He decided to kill her and later to end his life. As per his plan, he went to Srilekha's house on July 14 with four knives, cable wire and a hammer. Srilekha told him to go away and that enraged Amit, who then stabbed her with a knife. He also stabbed Yamini when she tried to stop him. Then he escaped and toured in six states for about 14 days and came back. Chaitanyapuri Inspector Navin Kumar recorded his statement and produced him before Ranga Reddy district court on Wednesday.
