Notice to Telugu channel for calling ex-cop ISIS terrorist

Hyderabad, July 22: The State Minorities Commission has issued a notice to a popular Telugu news channel for reportedly branding a former police constable as ISIS terrorist. The commission has received a large number of complaints for branding the ex-cop Abdul Quadeer as ISIS terrorist. The commission chairman Abid Rasool Khan said that Editorial director of the channel was given a week's time to file a reply. He said that branding the victim as terrorist angered the community. The channel was told to submit a certified copy of scrolled news. It may be noted that Abdul Quadeer killed ACP Sathaiah during 1992 riots and he was released on one month parole recently.
