Attack on lady Tehsildar: Disputed sand quarry in WG

Vijayawada, July 15: The disputed sand quarry, at which followers of Denduluru MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar attacked Musunuru Tehsildar Vanajakshi, is in West Godavari. It may be noted that a dispute arose between Musunuru Tehsildar and Denduluru MLA over sand quarrying at a place between Balve village of Musunuru mandal of Krishna district and Vijayarai village of Pedavegi mandal of West Godavari district. As per the directives of Krishna and West Godavari District Collectors, a team headed by Eluru RDO Tej Bharath and Nuzivid RDO Rangaiah carried a survey and confirmed that the disputed site is in West Godavari district. Revenue officials of both the districts jointly conducted the survey.
