KCR to respond positively towards civic workers strike

Hyderabad, July 13: With the mountains of garbage piling up everyday, unbearable stench and public outcry was forcing the Telangana government to make the municipal contract workers to withdraw their 8-day strike in the State. According to sources, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will take a decision over the demands of the workers on Monday afternoon. There are chances for KCR to respond favourably to their demands like salary hike and others. Various workers' unions, irrespective of their internal disputes, would request the government to solve the sanitary workers' problems. On the other hand, the discussions between the government and the workers had failed and the latter announced of continuing their strike. Municipal contract workers have been on strike since eight days, which left the entire Hyderabad city filled with rubbish.
