Lok Adalat issues notices to Balakrishna

Hindupur/Hyderabad, July 12: Lok Adalat court Judge ADJ Ramulu issued notices to Hindupur MLA and Tollywood actor Balakrishna and Municipal Chairperson R Lakshmi on Saturday. The duo were directed to appear before the Lok Adalat on August 1. A master plan was prepared in 1993 to widen the road to 80 feet, linking bypass road to one-town police station and from fire station to Penukonda road in Hindupur. Gurunath Talkies owners donated fields to the Municipality for laying the road. But, complaining that the road widening and extension works have not been taken up till date even after about 12 years, one Mr Venkataramudu approached Lok Adalat. He stated in his petition that public are facing severe inconvenience as the Municipal officials were not taking up the road widening works. In response to the petition, the Lok Adalat judge issued notices to the defendants, MLA Balakrishna, Chairperson and Municipal Commissioner.
