Uncleared garbage raises stink in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, July 9: With the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) sanitation workers' strike continuing for the past four days, uncleared garbage raises the levels of stink in Hyderabad. Foul smell emanating from the piled up garbage is chocking the breath out of passersby forcing them to cover their noses for long distances. The Telangana government announced that it would solve all the problems of the sanitary workers and requested them to join their duties. However, the workers were reluctant to withdrew their strike until and unless they get a clear assurance for a solution to their problems. Meanwhile, a public interest litigation (PIL) that urges the authorities to clean up the city roads is expected to come up for hearing today in the Hyderabad High Court. An advocate identified as Rajeshwar had filed the PIL against the piling up of the garbage in Hyderabad.
