YSR’s birth anniversary celebrated on a grand note

Hyderabad, July 8: The 66th birth anniversary of late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy was celebrated on a grand note across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. YSRCP and Congress activists vied with each other to celebrate the event. The Congress leaders from both the states garlanded the statue of YSR at Hyderabad Central in Punjagutta and paid tributes. The event was also grandly organised at Gandhi Bhavan. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttamkumar Reddy said that YSR stood by his word. APCC president Raghuveera Reddy reminded the Fee Reimbursement, 108, Aarogya Sri, Jala Yagnam and other flagship programmes were brainchild of YSR. Mallu Bhattivikramarka said that the credit for Hyderabad Metro Rail and Shamshabad International Airport goes to YSR. At YSRCP head office in Hyderabad, the party's Telangana Unit President and Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and former Minister Botsa Satyanarayana paid floral tributes to the image of YSR and cut a cake to mark the occasion. Blood donation camps, mass feeding, fruits distribution and others social service activities were conducted across AP and TS.
