TTD’s Tamil TV channel likely to be launched soon

Tirumala, July 4: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will soon launch a Tamil television channel, said TTD executive officer Dr Sambasiva Rao. Speaking to the media here, Sambasiva Rao said that arrangements are in full swing for the launch of Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) Tamil channel. Sambasiva Rao reiterated that the main aim of TTD is to promote, preserve and protect Hindu Dharma. At present SVBC satellite channel is broadcasting devotional programmes in Telugu. TTD officials are planning to conduct a meeting with Cable TV operators in Tamil Nadu to ensure that SVBC Tamil Channel services are available all over the State. Tamil Nadu stands next to Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in terms of devotees visiting the holy shrine.
