Revanth Reddy likely to resign from MLA post: Senior leader
Hyderabad, June 30: A senior leader close to Telugu Desam Party MLA A Revanth Reddy is reported to have said that the jailed legislator could resign from his post once he comes out on bail. According to a report published in an English-language newspaper today, Revanth Reddy is likely to take a decision on this issue after discussing with TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Quoting sources, the newspaper said the idea behind Revanth's move is basically to thwart the plans of Telangana Rashtra Samithi's to suspend the legislator for a period of four years from the state's legislaive assembly. Speaking to the newspaper, the senior leader is believed to have said that Revanth '. . . cannot raise his voice on any matter as long as the cash-for-vote case is hanging over his head'. The leader said Revanth wants to resign and get re-elected from the same constituency, i.e. Kollapur in Mahbubnagar district.
