Baahubali compared to Hollywood flick 300

Hyderabad, June 25: The Rs 250 crore budget Telugu movie Baahubali was being compared with Hollywood blockbuster movie 300. The comparisons between Baahubali and 300 were mainly of the vast battle scenes. The cinegoers are eagerly waiting for the movie's release as much hype has been created following the release of its teasers and trailers. According to Director S.S. Rajamouli, the two-part movie is a simple story of a father who has been back-stabbed, a mother who has been enchained for no wrong of hers and the story of a son who takes revenge. The two parts are spread across two generations. The story may be simple but not the making. It took almost three years for the director to complete the movie, which will be releasing on July 10. Rajamouli says it was challenging to get 1,000 soldiers into costume with weapons and onto the location. 2,000 extras, about 500 to 600 technicians, horses and elephants toiled for the movie. About 600 artists from 17 visual effects studios across India, South Korea and China worked to create the 4,500 visual effects and computer graphics of the movie. One can say Rajamouli was almost successful in achieving the look and feel of a high end Hollywood movie in Indian cinema.
