Those opposing Yoga should leave India: BJP MP

New Delhi, June 9, 2015: BJP MP Yogi Adityanath has stirred a controversy by saying that those who oppose 'Yoga' and 'Surya Namaskar' should either leave India or drown themselves in ocean. Yogi Adityanath represents Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat in UP. He made these comments while participating in a programme at Varanasi represented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Commenting on Muslims'opposition to 'Surya Namaskar', the MP said that 100 countries including 40 Muslim nations are backing the International Yoga Day to be observed on June 21. It may be noted that bowing to pressure from religious groups, Union government dropped 'Surya Namaskar' from Yoga Day drill.
