Botsa to join YSRCP, Jagan offers MLC post

Hyderabad, May 30: In all probability, former Pradesh Congress Committee chief Botsa Satyanarayana will be meeting YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy today in Hyderabad and formally join Jagan's party. According to sources Jagan is believed to have not only offered the MLC post to Botsa but is said to have offered to make him the leader of the opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council. Earlier on Friday, Botsa is believed to have dropped enough hints that he is likely to join Jagan's team soon. A senior YSRCP leader had said that Botsa joining the YSRCP is final. Jagan himself had cleared Botsa's induction into the party as he is a prominent leader from Kapu community. Botsa's exit will be a major blow to Congress party in Andhra Pradesh, where it was completely wiped out in the 2014 elections.
