Pakistani Actress Removed from 'Sanam Teri Kasam' Sequel
Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane has faced a major setback following her comments against "Operation Sindoor". The production company has removed her from the sequel of the superhit film Sanam Teri Kasam. Directors and producers Radhika Rao and Vinay released a joint statement announcing this decision, asserting that the nation comes before everything else. They emphasized that all forms of terrorism must be condemned.

The statement expressed disappointment that someone who acted in Indian films and received immense love and admiration failed to denounce the terrorist attack. It described as unfortunate the fact that some individuals went so far as to criticize the Indian government's decisions to combat terrorism. The filmmakers declared their support for the government and concluded their statement with “Jai Hind”.

Previously, lead actor Harshvardhan Rane had announced that he would not participate in the sequel if Mawra Hocane remained part of the cast. In light of these developments, the production company decided to remove her from the project.

The original Sanam Teri Kasam film was released in 2016 and initially grossed ₹16 crore. Notably, its recent re-release earned ₹41 crore, prompting the production house to proceed with plans for a sequel titled Sanam Teri Kasam 2.
