Terror Links to Father of Key Pak Army Officer Revealed!
Sensational revelations have emerged regarding the father of Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a prominent figure in the Pakistan Army. While Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry is leading Pakistan’s propaganda efforts against India, allegations have surfaced about his father, Sultan Bashiruddin Mahmood, a nuclear scientist, who is accused of attempting to share nuclear knowledge with terrorist groups, including Al-Qaeda.

Sultan Bashiruddin Mahmood's name appears on the United Nations Security Council’s Al-Qaeda Sanctions Committee list of terrorists. He was added to the list on December 24, 2001, based on allegations of associations with Al-Qaeda, Osama bin Laden, and the Taliban. He faces serious accusations, including funding terrorism, planning terrorist acts, and supplying weapons.

According to a United Nations report, Mahmood founded an organization called “Ummah Tameer-e-Nau” (UTN), through which he allegedly provided chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons-related information to Osama bin Laden and the Taliban. It is reported that during a visit to Afghanistan, Mahmood met with bin Laden and other Al-Qaeda leaders to discuss nuclear weapons. He is also believed to have met then-Taliban chief Mullah Omar in 2001.

As Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry continues efforts to portray Pakistan as a "victim of terrorism" on the global stage, analysts are raising concerns about the ideological infiltration of extremism into the Pakistan Army, given the terrorist background of his father. In contrast, while Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir's father was a religious preacher, Chaudhry's father—despite being a nuclear scientist—allegedly leaned towards extremist activities.

Under pressure from the United States, Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI arrested and interrogated Mahmood in 2001. These developments have sparked renewed doubts about Pakistan’s commitment to its anti-terrorism campaign.
