India Committed to Ceasefire Agreement: Ministry of Defence Clarifies
Officials from the Ministry of Defence of India have reaffirmed that the Indian Armed Forces remain committed to the ceasefire agreement currently in effect between India and Pakistan. This statement was made during a special media briefing held in New Delhi.

Indian Navy Captain Raghu Nair stated that India’s responses in the aftermath of recent tragic incidents have been marked by restraint and responsibility. He emphasized that while India honours the ceasefire agreement, its armed forces remain vigilant to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty. “We are always prepared to take any necessary measures for the defence of our country,” said Captain Raghu Nair.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh alleged that Pakistan has been spreading false information. She strongly refuted Pakistani accusations that Indian forces had targeted mosques during the conflict. “We hold all places of worship in the highest regard. The Indian Armed Forces have never targeted any religious sites,” clarified Wing Commander Vyomika Singh. She further stated that the clashes had caused damage to Pakistani territory, including their air bases and military infrastructure.

Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Additional Secretary Randhir Jaiswal were also present at the media briefing.
