Following Professor Ravi Ranjan's arrest by the police on suspicion of attempting to sexually attack a foreign student from Thailand, the University of Hyderabad suspended him on Saturday.Professor Ravi Ranjan of the Hindi department has been suspended immediately by Central University. ACP claims that the victim complained about the Professor and that he was then arrested. According to him, the Gachibowli Police Station has filed a case against the professor under Sections 354 and 354 (A) of the IPC. The university students had already staged a demonstration and demanded that the professor face heavy punishment.
