As torrential rains and high gusts pounded the national capital on Monday evening, rain-related incidents occurred in a number of locations. The middle dome finial of Delhi's Jama Masjid was damaged during the severe rain and storms. After a storm, some stone fragments from the Jama Masjid's minaret had also fallen. On Monday evening, the national capital had its first severe thunderstorm in four years, with squally winds of 100 kmph battering the city.
