IEEE Awards GITAM as Outstanding Student Branch
Hyderabad, 31st March 2023: IEEE Vizag Bay Section in its Annual General Body Meeting awarded the GITAM Deemed to be University as Outstanding Student Branch Award for its commitment to the educational, personal, professional, and technical development of students in IEEE-related fields of interest. Notably, IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
Also, the IEEE Vizag Bay Section awarded Dr. Md. Khwaja Muinuddin Chisti, Student branch counselor as Outstanding Volunteer Award (Men Category) for his commitment to the development of Professional and Student members of the section, and organizing activities and providing impetus to the growth of student involvement for IEEE activities and event.
Mr. T.Pavan Vignesh, Student branch chair was awarded as Outstanding Student Volunteer award (Men Category), and Ms. B. Niharika was awarded as Outstanding Student Volunteer Award (Women Category) for their outstanding dedication and commitment to quality education.
Prof. Vijaysekhar Chellaboina, Dean & Director, GITAM School of Technology along with Prof. J.B. Seventline, HoD EECE Department, and Prof. R. Sireesha, HoD CSE Department appreciated the awardees and encouraged students to conduct more industrial visits and training programs so that the students get acquitted with the industry technology that helps them for their future endure and placements.
