CM KCR expressed condolences on the demise of famous film actor and Producer Krishna

Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekhar Rao expressed condolences on the demise of famous film actor and Producer Krishna ( Ghattamaneni Shivarama Krishnamurthy (79) , who is fondly called as Superstar Krishna by his fans.

CM KCR remembered Krishna's services to the Telugu film industry for over 5 decades as an Actor, Producer, Director and head of a Production Company. The Chief Minister said that the death of Krishna, who acted in more than 350 films and left an indelible mark in the hearts of moviegoers, is a huge loss to the Telugu film industry. CM KCR said that, apart from diverse family drama films, Krishna is popular as an actor of social films which created social consciousness among the people.


CM KCR recalled that the working class of those days considered Krishna as their favorite hero and owned him as superstar. The Chief Minister said that Krishna is credited with establishing his own production company and introduced new trends in the field of film production. CM KCR conveyed his deep condolences to the bereaved family members of Krishna.


Last rites with Official Honours

Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekhar Rao decided to conduct the last rites of departed Film hero Krishna with official honours. CM KCR instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to make necessary arrangements in this direction.
