Andhra Pradesh authorities halted actor-politician Pawan Kalyan's journey to Vijayawada after denying landing permission for his chartered flight at Gannavaram airport. Consequently, he decided to travel by road. The police, foreseeing potential law and order disruptions due to his visit, stopped his convoy multiple times. This was especially intensified as Pawan Kalyan aimed to meet Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader, N. Chandrababu Naidu, who had recently been arrested over a scam. Pawan Kalyan's supporters, in defiance, removed police barricades at the Telangana-Andhra border, leading to mild police action. At another stop, Pawan Kalyan, expressing his frustration, remarked about the difficulty of entering Andhra Pradesh. He even lay on the road in protest at one point. Following another halt at Jaggaiahpet, there were ongoing discussions about possibly sending Kalyan back to Hyderabad.
