A group of enthusiastic spectators, wearing Royal Challengers Bangalore jerseys, gathered at the main gate of IS Bindra Stadium on Thursday evening as the team was leaving after their Indian Premier League match against Punjab Kings. The crowd began chanting "Kohli, Kohli" and became even louder when they spotted some of the players. Some of the fans approached the bus to take pictures with the cricketers, but senior cops, including Rajpal Singh, quickly intervened to prevent any disturbances. The officers ensured a safe departure for the team bus. For Rajpal and his fellow officers at Punjab Police, this scenario is nothing new. They have been responsible for security during international matches and the IPL for quite some time. Rajpal, a former India hockey captain, is well-versed in handling high-pressure situations. 'It's all part of the duty,' he said with a smile, as he spoke to some media channels.
