Three Killed and five injured in Visakhapatnam building collapse
Visakhapatnam: In a tragic incident, a three-storied building in Ramajogipet near the Collectorate collapsed late last night, resulting in the tragic loss of three lives and leaving five people seriously injured. According to the sources, the deceased have been identified as Chotu, Saketi Anjali, and Saketi Durga Prasad. Anjali was a 10th-grade student, while her brother, Durga Prasad, was studying in Inter.
The injured individuals have been identified as Kommishetti Sivashankara, Saketi Rama Rao, Saketi Kalyani, Sunnapu Krishna, and Satika Rojarani. Upon receiving the news, the fire brigade, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), police, and revenue teams promptly arrived at the scene and provided relief measures.
Kommishetti Sivashankar, a noodles master on the ground floor of the building and originally from Vijayawada, revealed that he had moved in just a week ago. He, too, is from Bihar. The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the building collapse, and further details will be disclosed as they become available. The incident has caused panic among the locals, as eight people were inside the building at the time of the collapse.
