KTR Takes a Stand: Strong Action Against CM Insulters
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao insinuated that there will be a forceful reprisal against those who make defamatory remarks about Telangana's Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao. The state Minister expressed his thoughts on the matter via Twitter, highlighting the differing punishments for similar offenses in different states. He compared the 14-day imprisonment in BJP-governed Karnataka for an objectionable tweet to the apparent tolerance for outright and appalling insults hurled at CM, ministers, and legislators in Telangana. Rao asked if it was time to reciprocate such negativity to the aggressors.
KTR's tweet was a reference to the recent arrest of Kannada actor Chetan for his "offensive" tweet. Hours later, the police apprehended YouTuber Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, also known as Teenmaar Mallanna, for allegedly making derogatory comments about the Chief Minister and his family.
