Close Call for Former Karnataka CM Yediyurappa: Chopper Landing Scare Averted in Karnataka
The erstwhile Chief Minister of Karnataka, BS Yediyurappa, narrowly avoided a close shave as his helicopter aborted landing owing to an unclean helipad and the presence of plastic bags perilously close to the chopper. The visibility was further compromised by swathes of plastic sheets fluttering in the vicinity. As a safety measure, the helicopter was kept hovering in the air until the authorities cleared the helipad. Subsequently, after the ground was cleared and deemed safe by the security personnel, the pilot landed the chopper securely on the same helipad located in Kalaburagi's Jewargi.
The veteran leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was in Kalaburagi to participate in the party's 'Jana Sanakalpa Yatra.'
