Former CBI official JD Lakshmi Narayana shares insights on YS Vivekananda Reddy's death case investigation
Hyderabad: Former CBI official JD Lakshmi Narayana recently spoke about the investigation into the death of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, shedding light on the case and the process of investigation.
Speaking to the interview, he revealed that the case had initially been with the state police, but was transferred to the CBI for investigation upon the request of Vivekananda Reddy's daughter Sunitha, who had approached the High Court. Lakshmi Narayana went on to explain that the case was later transferred to the Telangana CBI court after she had approached the Supreme Court.
Highlighting the importance of proper investigation, JD Lakshmi Narayana stressed that there are many ways to interfere with a case if the investigation is not done correctly. He emphasized that anyone can approach the Court, even if the case is being handled by an investigation agency, and that no single person in the agency has the authority to make a decision.
All decisions are made after passing through many filters. Lakshmi Narayana expressed his opinion that it is not appropriate to prolong a case, as it can lead to the development of doubts. He emphasized that the CBI officials need proper evidence to prove their case in court, and cannot make decisions on their own.
