LIVE : YS Sharmila Public Meeting At Hanamkonda
YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) leader Y.S. Sharmila took the opportunity during her ongoing padyatra to publicly condemn Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his failure to deliver on his promises for the development of Warangal. During a public meeting near Hanamkonda petrol bunk, she reminded the audience of KCR's promises to turn Warangal into an IT hub comparable to Hyderabad, create jobs, establish a full-fledged airport at Mamnoor airstrip, bring industrialization and a metro rail to the city.
However, Sharmila pointed out that these promises have not been fulfilled, and criticized the government's response to the damages caused by last year's untimely rains. The rains resulted in damage to crops across 56,000 acres and losses of approximately Rs 900 crore for 25,000 farmers, yet no compensation has been provided, she noted.
Furthermore, Sharmila expressed her disappointment with the lack of recognition for the late poet Sri Kaloji Narayan Rao and questioned the absence of the promised world-class auditorium in his honor.
