K Vishwanath laid to rest
Renowned Telugu filmmaker and Padma Shri awardee K Viswanath passed away on Thursday at the age of 92 due to age-related illnesses. He was laid to rest at the Panjagutta Smashana Vatika in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
Viswanath was widely known for his films such as "Sankarabharanam," "Sagara Sangamam," "Swathi Muthyam," and "Swarna Kamalam." He was highly regarded in the industry, having received five National Film Awards, seven Nandi Awards, and 10 Filmfare Awards.
In 1992, Viswanath was awarded the Padma Shri, and in 2017, he was honored with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest recognition in Indian cinema, presented by the central government.
