A senior leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Atchennaidu, has been charged with making inappropriate remarks against the police during a public meeting in Chittoor district's Kuppam on Friday. The case was registered by the local police after a complaint was filed by the Sub-Inspector (SI) who claimed that Atchennaidu's comments had hurt the sentiments and self-respect of the police. Atchennaidu had criticized the state government's administration and made inappropriate comments targeting the police during TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh's padayatra in Kuppam. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Atchennaidu in relation to the incident.
