MLC Kavitha reacts to Governor's comments on BRS government during Republic Day speech
Hyderabad: MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha of the Bharata Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party responded to statements made by Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan during the Republic Day celebrations at Raj Bhavan. Kavitha took to Twitter to point out that the TRS government has previously called on the central government to prioritize the country's infrastructure, rather than the Central Vista project, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She emphasized that the TRS government's priorities are focused on the well-being of farmers, laborers, and unemployed youth, rather than the enrichment of a select few. Kavitha also acknowledged the Governor's comments, which align with long-standing critiques of the TRS party's leadership.
In her speech, Governor Soundararajan had emphasized the importance of access to housing for all citizens, rather than just a select few, and emphasized that development should be about building the nation, not just new buildings. She also praised Prime Minister Modi for his work on national highways and other initiatives.
