Rare Himalayan Griffon Vulture found in UP's Kanpur Cemetery; Handed over to Zoo
In Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a white Himalayan vulture was spotted at Cemetery . The vulture appears older and has wings that are reportedly around five feet long. The vulture was captured by locals and turned over to the police. It was thereafter given to the state forest department. The vulture has reportedly been sent to the Kanpur Zoo.
The young people in the hamlet, who were seen posing with the scavenger bird, can be seen stretching the bird's wings to their maximum extent in the viral video.
The scientists claim that the Himalayan Griffon vulture is one of the largest bird species there. "Himalayan Griffon vultures are now almost threatened.
