TDP leaders severe allegations on state govt and Police over riots in Macharla

The recent violence episode at Macherla town in the Palnadu district, in which members of the main opposition Telugu Desam Party and the ruling YSR Congress party engaged in attacks and counterattacks, has gained significant political attention in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

In a press conference, the opposition TDP Cadres criticised the ruling YSRCP harshly, alleging that it had targeted their party with the help of the state Police. Kollu Ravindra, a TDP leader and former minister for skill development, has attacked CM Jagan, alleging that he has inherited faction from his elders. Kollu Ravindra has defended his remark by bringing up the late YSR's remarks about faction. He claimed that the alleged YSRCP in Palnadu violent episode resulted in the victimisation of 16 members of the BC, SC, and minority communities. He asserted that SP, DGP, and DIG had extended support to one another in the violence incident.

While condemning the YSRCP administration for the purported Macherla violent event, TDP senior politician and former Minister Nakka Anand Babu has expressed confidence that TDP will win the next election. He claimed that they have identified some of the corrupt police personnel and leaders of the YSRCP and have made it known that they will be dealt with accordingly.

The TDP senior leader warned these people while urging them to uphold the law, keep the peace, and carry out justice. He has sought impartiality from the police.

In the approaching election, Nakka Anand Babu claimed that the people of the state will vote against the YSRCP administration.
