Two died after bus carrying 48 students overturns in Maharashtra
Maharashtra: In a tragic incident, two students were killed and several others were injured after a bus turned turtled in a hilly area on Sunday night. The incident took place near Khopoli town in Raigad of Maharashtra after the students returned from a picnic in Lonavala. According to the reports, the deceased was identified as Hitika Khanna and Rajesh Mathre.
It is learnt that the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle due to a breaks failure at Magic Point hill on the old Mumbai-Pine highway. The students from a coaching class from Chembur went for a picnic in Lonavala and all are 10th-standard students. The police registered a case and an investigation is underway.
