G20 Summit: PM Modi meets UK PM Rishi Sunak
At the G-20 summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak had separate meetings. They talked about how to work together on issues like trade, mobility, defence, and security. They met for the first time. A few weeks ago, an Indian descent named Rishi Sunak became the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
The MeA released a statement in which it stated that the two leaders expressed satisfaction over the progress of the 2030-roadmap for future relations, including the further expansion of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UK.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, all sides recognised the value of cooperating in bilateral and multilateral discussion forums like the G-20 and the Commonwealth.
