Indian Army Dog Zoom dies after sustaining injuries during anti-terror encounter in J&K

Around 12 noon today, Indian Army Dog Zoom, who was receiving care at the army's veterinary clinic in Srinagar, passed away.

He was reacting well, according to Army officials, until about 11:30 am, when he abruptly began gasping and lost consciousness.

The latest mission by Zoom was successful and got rid of some terrorists who were hiding out nearby. Zoom had been hurt in a terrorist confrontation at Anantag during the operation. Zoom persisted in his attack on the terrorists after being hurt, helping Army personnel subdue them. He suffered a fracture in his back leg and facial injuries from splinters. Additionally, he was shot twice with bullets throughout the procedure.
