The maverick director Mani Ratnam's magnum opus of Kollywood, Ponniyin Selvan-1, is scheduled to premiere on September 30, 2022, in all the major Indian languages. The PS-1 team has been aggressively promoting the movie for the past few days, and now they have travelled to Hyderabad to do the same for the Telugu version of the movie. On September 23, 2022, starting at 6 PM, JRC Conventions in Hyderabad has started hosting the pre-release event for Ponniyin Selvan-1. Actors like Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sobhitha Dhulipala, Trisha, and Aishwarya Lekshmi feature in the historical action drama. The expensive film, co-produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, features music by AR Rahman.
