Teachers unions talk with Education Minister Botsa Satyanarayana on teacher issues failed
On Thursday, negotiations between the teachers' unions and the education minister, Botsa Satyanarayana failed. On their personal smartphones, the minister has asked that they download a face-based attendance software. The teachers' unions voiced concern that there was a chance that someone might steal their phone and access private data. The education minister proposed that the government give everyone access to cell phones; if not, the school should build up facilities for oral attendance. Minister Botsa took the decision to launch the app after 15 days of training. He stated that the teachers would receive training through this month's end.
According to Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, the government has adopted a policy regarding face recognition software. He has described both new policies in schools and government policy.
