A video of a tiger struggling to get away from a flooded barrage is going viral on the internet. According to the reports, a tiger tried to cross the Gerua river along the heavy current but washed away up to the Girijapuri barrage, Uttar Pradesh. It is near the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, a part of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. It tried to get away from the barrage but heavy currents pushed it downstream of the barrage. Alerted locals informed to the forest officials. The forest officials along with the help of locals monitored the movements of the tiger and closed the barrage gates. After six hours of effort, the tiger safely escaped to the land.
