Amalapuram: Police intensified the investigation in the Amalapuram violence case and reportedly registered cases against state Transport Minister Pinepe Viswaroop's followers. According to the reports, the police filed cases against YSRCP leaders Satya Rushi, Subash, Murali Krishna and Raghu. It is learnt that the police filed cases against them after recording the statements of accused Satya Prasad. It is said that the four suspects are on the run. Earlier, tension escalated in Konaseema after the state government's proposal to rename Konaseema district as Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district. A few unidentified persons set fire to Minister Viswaroop and Mummidivaram MLA Satish's residences.
