US: 18 children killed in Texas elementary school shooting, gunman shot dead

Authorities reported a gunman opened fire at an elementary school in Texas, killing at least 18 students and one teacher. According to investigators, the suspect was armed with a handgun and was shot by law enforcement.

According to reports, after shooting his grandma, the teenage shooter entered Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, and crashed his vehicle near the school. According to a Texas Department of Public Safety officer, the shooter opened fire on students, teachers, and anyone else in the school when he entered.

In a speech Tuesday night, President Biden condemned the shooting. He has urged Americans to take a stand against the country's formidable pro-gun lobby. He has also urged lawmakers to act after yet another school shooting in America.
