‘I am sorry’: Akshay Kumar steps down as brand ambassador of elaichi brand
Since endorsing a product by a tobacco-selling firm, Vimal Elaichi, Bollywood action actor Akshay Kumar has faced the wrath of the internet. Now, Akshay Kumar has finally spoken out about his ad in which he promotes the tobacco brand's elaichi. He has not only apologised, but he has also resigned as an ambassador. However, he underlined that he will be held to his obligations under the contract he signed earlier.
In his post, Akshay apologised to his followers for endorsing the company and promised to contribute a fee to the charitable organisation.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will be featured in Prithviraj and Gorkha, among other films, in the near future.
