A man in Telangana was apprehended after repeatedly dialling the number to complain that his wife had not cooked mutton curry. According to reports, the unusual incidence occurred on the occasion of Holi in the Nalgonda district. Naveen, of Cherla Gowraram village in Kanagal mandal, dialled 100 six times to file a complaint against his wife. Naveen was allegedly drunk when he took up the phone and called 100. The call was traced by the police, and the person was charged under sections 290 (public disturbance) and 510 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (misconduct in public by a drunken person). The police have advised people not to misuse the dial 100 service because it wastes vital time.
