Hyderabad: Key leaders from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are leaving the party one by one. Several leaders have already said goodbye to the party. Recently, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Vijayalakshmi and former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Puranam Satish have joined the Congress party.
They joined Congress in the presence of the Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy. The event was attended by Telangana State Congress affairs in-charge Deepa Das Munshi and various Congress leaders. Both were welcomed into Congress by Revanth and Deepa Das Munshi, who draped them with party shawls.
Vijayalakshmi's father, Rajya Sabha member K. Keshava Rao, has also resigned from BRS. He met with Revanth Reddy yesterday, stating that his political career began with Congress, and he has been with the party for four decades, intending to end his political life in Congress.
BRS MLA and former Minister Kadiyam Srihari is also expected to join Congress soon. There is an opportunity for Kadiyam Srihari and his daughter Kadiyam Kavya to meet with Revanth in a short while.
