AMaravati: The Election Commission is seriously considering an incident where YCP MLA Annabattuni Shivakumar allegedly assaulted a voter in Tenali. Immediate action has been ordered against the MLA. He is to be kept under house arrest until the polling is completed.
This morning, MLA Annabattuni Shivakumar arrived at a polling booth in Tenali. As he was entering the booth, a person named Gottimukkala Sudhakar, who was in the queue, objected. He questioned why the MLA was bypassing the queue and heading straight into the polling center.
This led to a heated altercation, with the MLA slapping Sudhakar. It is reported that the voter retaliated strongly. A video related to this incident has gone viral.
