Varla Ramaiah responds to Sajjala's comments over volunteers salary promise

Amaravati: The ongoing verbal battle between the ruling YSRCP and the opposition TDP over the issue of volunteers in Andhra Pradesh continues to escalate. While Chandrababu Naidu has promised a salary of Rs. 10,000 for volunteers, YSRCP leaders have criticized the move. Sajjala, a prominent YSRCP leader, has accused Chandrababu of making deceitful promises, similar to those he made in the past. TDP Politburo member Varla Ramaiah has responded strongly to these accusations.
Varla Ramaiah questioned why Sajjala is pained by Chandrababu's intention to benefit volunteers by promising them Rs. 10,000. He argued that if Chandrababu wants to do good for the volunteers, there should be no reason for Sajjala to criticize. He accused the YSRCP of treating volunteers like slaves.
Varla Ramaiah expressed his outrage at Sajjala's comments, questioning whether Sajjala considers himself a consultant giving worthless advice. He sarcastically asked if Sajjala was distributing his grandfather's wealth or his own, emphasizing that the dignity of the volunteers had been compromised by such attitudes, which treated volunteers like slaves. He accused Sajjala, the YSRCP leader, and the party itself of creating a negative perception of volunteers among the public.
Ramaiah made a direct appeal to the volunteers to be cautious of Sajjala, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, and other YSRCP leaders, hinting at their impending legal troubles which he predicted would land them in jail. He urged volunteers to reflect on the differences in approach between Chandrababu and Jagan towards volunteers, criticizing Jagan for exploiting them while highlighting Chandrababu's promise to improve their conditions and dignity.
Ramaiah concluded by challenging Sajjala to resign from his advisory role if he truly has any moral integrity, to serve Jagan without the lure of a high salary. He criticized Sajjala's family, suggesting they are also involved in corrupt practices, and questioned whether Sajjala's family ever advised him to resign and serve Jagan sincerely.
